Journal entry: Siem Reap vacation, May 23rd 2008, Day 5

I rate the food. ambience and decor at the Angkor Family Restaurant 10/10, 5 stars. The photo below doesn't do justice to the warm and cosy interior.

The restaurant is located in vicinity of the Old Market and Pub Street. We sat near the balcony upstairs and had a nice view of Pub Street below.

You must try the garlic prawns in cheese starter, pictured below.

The main dishes are also excellent, especially the Amok set.
Amok is a type of curry, featuring meat in thick coconut milk.

All in all, definitely a Khmer dining experience to remember.
