It's cool that the Nikon P6000 supports Nikon's i-TTL wireless flash system.
What's not cool is the SB-800 can't be used for this, only the SB-600, SB-900 and SU-800, according to the Nikon P6000 press release.

P6000 manual (on Nikon USA website) lists SB-800 as being usable as master as well as the SU-800 and SB-900.
The SB-800 does work as a master or remote with the P6000. I just triggered 2 SB-800s using a 3rd SB-800 as master.
Important notes:
1. A master SB-800 or SB-900 must have Master Mode set to “M —”(no flash).
2. Group A set to any flash mode
3. Group B and C set to “B —” and “C —”(no flash).
4. If all of above not set correctly, the camera will refuse to take a picture.
For SU-800:
Same as lines 2,3 & 4 above.
Hey Al –
Thanks for that tip; the manual seemed cryptic on how to set it up… that worked for me with an SB-800 on the camera and an SB-600 firing remotely.
