I wanted to drag two internet / URL shortcuts to my Dock for easy access, but they ended up looking like this:

Because they had the same icon, I couldn't visually distinguish one from the other unless I hovered my mouse pointer over them.
I thought of giving each a different icon, and these two articles helped in my endeavor:
- "How do I change my Mac OS X hard drive icon?" by Dave Taylor.
- 'How To: Change Icons" by Pimp My Mac.
My new customized Dock icons for the Internet Shortcuts now look like this.
