Nikon S220 as a Point and Shoot Camera? – phillipsb:
I decided to go with a Nikon S220, I know there are varying reviews on this camera, so far I have been pleased. I picked this up at a local camera shop and got the camera, 4GB SDHC card, case and 2 yr extended warranty for about $185. As this will be a 2nd camera, I did make some concessions (no HD video, no manual controls).
Coolpix S220 Image Quality? – Peter Hayward:
The images are completely unacceptable in almost every aspect. Soft, grainy, poor colour. Macro does not seem to work.
Coolpix S220 Feedback – Marc on Long Island:
Just purchased this camera for my daughter…. and the quality is very disappointing… the pics are soft, grainy… and the colors are awful.
Nikon Coolpix S220 Full Review on CNET UK – Joshua Goldman:
The inexpensive, lightweight, ultra-compact Nikon Coolpix S220 might not take particularly great pictures — especially when viewed at full size — but it really comes down to what you're after. If it's capturing the moment so that you can share with friends and family online, and you're sick of using your phone and want more control over the end results, the S220 is a viable option.
Rating score for the camera was 6.8 (GOOD).
